Bakbone NetVault Can't Find Slots in Tape Library

Hi everyone. all of a sudden, our NetVault system does not see any slots on a dual drive IBM 3565 tape library. In NetVault Device Management, there is "Checking Status" next to the loader and is shows the two drives but not any of the slots.

what I did yesterday was I manually loaded 24 tapes into the loader and then wasn't able to see anything within NetVault. I can't seem to find any certain "inventory" command at all either.

anyone know what I can try here?

What operating system is NetVault loaded on?

Does the OS see the loader? If the OS can not see the loader, then NetVault can not see the loader.

it is running redhat EL 4. I honestly don't know the test for this. the drives show green but there are no tape slots underneath the drives as it shown on another tape library that is connected to the system. the IBM device is connected via fiber. the other drive that shows up with all its slots is connected via scsi. maybe there is a test I can perform?
