Hi there,
got an overland backup here that holds ten tapes. slot 1-8 are dlt's that are working fine.. slot 10 is a cleaning tape that constantly shows up in the manager as unreadable media.. of course I can't Erase or Format it so..hum.. The tape was working fine up until about a week ago, and it's only been in cycle for about a month.. is it possible the tape is dead?? if not, what can I do to bring it back..

So you can change a new clean tape and to clean all the tapehead. then try to do some backup or erase etc. If it isn't work, Maybe your tape has a hardware problem and you must to contract the hardware vendor.

Good luck
Peter
