Backups Netbackup 4.5

I have still have some old backups that were made of data on novell servers that I need to get at but we have replaced all of our netware servers with windows file servers. Is there a way to dump the data off of those tapes to a windows box?. I have netbackup 4.5 datacenter. Thanks.

Depends upon whether the the Netware volume you backed up was compressed. If it was, you will have to build a Netware box, same version and patch level with a compressed volume, then restore the data.

From what I have seen in our envronment, you must restore files to the same platform they were backed up in.
