Backups Exec 8.6 fails to initiate job

Hi,


The regular backups just don't inititate, it remains "scheduled" even after the start time. If they do run, they are listed as cancelled due to the service shutdown.

I am unable to find an error log or any other indication to show where the problem is originating from.I am using a 35 GB AIT tape drive.

I would appreciate if someone has a suggestion.

Can you run the backups manually by selecting "run now"?

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

Are all your Backup Exec services started?

Is the start DATE correct?

It started to work now, the Backup exec server was paused for some reason. I had to start it back under the devices tab, for it to work again.
