First, my understanding is that the only way to use the Veritas backup utility that comes with XP for backing up your data to CD is to backup a .bkf to another folder on a local hard drive then burn the .bkf file to CD using your burner. In other words, if you want to burn your backup file to CD you have to buy the full version of the product called Veritas Backup MyPC. Is that correct?

Second, how do you burn a .bkf file to CD using the dragndrop CD burning features of XP if the file is larger than the capacity of the CD. I would hope that XP would support spanning disks? Does it? Roger Newhall

I will answer my own question.

1) Yes, the backup utility that comes with XP does not support backing up to CDRW.
2) Yes, the full featured version of the XP backup program by Stom/Veritas does support backingup to CDR/CDRW.
3) The product works very well. Roger Newhall

Answer to my last question:

Question: Does the built in dragndrop to CD features of XP support spanning media.

Answer: No. I tried it and you get an error messaging saying it is not supported. Roger Newhall
