Backup won't run

I am trying to run the nightly backup which is run at 0100hrs. The prune job runs at midnight and completes, however the backup just comes up with done and does not complete the backup. Is there something I should look at for this?

I've tried starting new backup jobs and each time the job starts and then immediately states the job is DONE. The lights on the drive don't flash. Is there a flag that needs to be cleared or another area that requires a reset?

Don't know.
Put the Job and Tape Engines in debug (see faq if you don't know how) and see what shows up in the logs.
