Backup with Veritas Netbackup!

Hi!

I have an error when trying to backup a database. This is the error:BackupMedium::ReportIoError: write failure on backup device 'VNBU0-2856-3364'. Operating system error 995(The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.). And also this:BackupVirtualDeviceFile::RequestDurableMedia: Flush failure on backup device 'VNBU0-2856-3364'. Operating system error 995(The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.).

Please help!!

we have solved this problem. It was a problem with name resolution.

It was a problem with the reverse lookup from the client.

I've the same problem with Legato on SQL 2000-Win2000-MSCS when the SQL instances running on a single node (oh when they are divided on two nodes). Follow the error:

Hi Sonorous!

It was a problem with the reverse look up. We used the network trouble shooting toll in Netbackup to find out the problem. Run bpclntcmd -pn from the client to test the communication with the Master server.

I hope it been some help to you and your problem.
