Has anyone found a way to backup IPO SE to a non IPO server or Application server? Thought we had backups gong to a Solarwinds SFTP server but no longer working.

you need minimum of 200 g of hard drive for your app server.
then go to SERVER adress:7071 go to settings, Enable HTTP file store for backup/restore

go back to your IPO SE SE adress:7070

add remore server

open winscp and go get your backup there /var/

I do it via SFTP to my laptop.

On some versions of IP Office, the scheduled backup stopped working as it is looking for a specific path, and if that path was not there, the backup would fail, which is why you may have been told the backup server needed to be another Application Server.
This is not true. All you need to do is recreate the directory structure on the server you want to backup to.

I think the path was
/var/
So on your own backup server, create that directory structure.

Set your remote server according... I have never used HTTP as the backup method.

Try this.

Server Name: BackUpServer <- call it whatever you want
Protocol: sftp <- for remote backups, this is the only protocol that worked for me.
Remote Server:IP_Address
Port: 22
Remote Path:/var/ <-create this directory structure on the backup server
UserName: Your_UserName
Password: Your_Password

Good luck!
