Hello all,
On 4/7/04, our backup for 49.3gb took 5 hours and 36 mins.
Last night, our backup for 51.6gb took 14 hours and 20 mins.
Granted, more data = longer time to backup. But still, 2+gb adding another almost 10 hours just does not seem right. Consistently since 4/7, time has been slowly but surely increasing in time.
Windows 2000 Server (SP4)
Dell PowerEdge 2500
Dell PowerVault 110T (DLT1 Tape Drive)
Dell PERC 3/DI Raid
- Driver 2.7.1.4944
Veritas Backup Exec
- Version 8.50 Rev. 3572
I know the following does need to be updated :
System BIOS
ESM Firmware
Perc driver
Perc Firmware
Management Software
But, I do not understand why the backups have increased so much as of late.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
