Hi

Can anyone tell me how I backup the schema master?

This is what I'm trying to do. We have a mixture of win2000 and win nt servers, only one of our win2000 servers has active directory install which is our domain controller. I want to setup a win2003 server with exchange 2003 installed on the same network, now I need to run adprep on the DC to update the schema as detailed in KB278875. But this says backup the schema master first which I don't know how to do, I take it this isn't just a full tape backup.

Thanks
Sean

It is just that, do a full backup and make sure you select to backup System State.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark
