Hi all,

I have sql servers backing up on hotbackup mode with the sql agent.
I want to do a cold backup at the end of the week to make sure we can restore. now how do I do this?

How do I shutdown the sql server with legato?

Thanks

You can do it with savepnpc :
precmd : net stop mssqlserver
pstcmd : net start mssqlserver

But I don't belive it's a good idea to do that.

Why???

I can do hot backups for the database but cannot resotre to a dorrupt file system from a hot backup.

Do I have to rebuild the database and then resotre to it??

AHHH sql servers.
