Any recommendations for a Linux-based backup software? I need to backup certain files in my Linux server which is crucial to the business. I need one that is stable, able to do backup scheduling and can easily be restored. Any recommendations?

There a several:

Tar
Amanda
Arkeia
Syncsort Backup Express
Veritas NetBackUp
Legato Networker
Simple shell script using cron.

Computer Associates also has "BrightStor ARCServe Backup version 9 Client Agent for Linux". This is a simple agent that runs and allows ARCserve running on other OS's to "see" and backup Linux boxes. It works great.

Yes bluegroper, for my line of work.. Google is my BEST friend. But so are forums, its sometimes better to actually ask questions to a human then to ask a search engine. This way you get more feedback and can find a better solution.

BEST SOLUTION RSYNC-SSH & CPIO!!!!! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
