Backup slow on XP and Fast on 2003

Hello,

Does anyone know why we get 130MB/min on a computer with XP/Arcserve9 and 530MB/min with the same hardware and 2003/Arcserve9, this is backing-up over the network.

Anti-virus may be hurting your throughput.
NIC drivers may be different on each machine.
The data being backed up is different. Small files take longer than large ones.
Machines are not on the same subnet.
Network issues.

Sorry but this is same hardware, backing up the same data, we only re-install the OS and it changes the speed.
