Backup SIP trunks

I have a few customers that are looking for backup to their existing PRI or SIP service that, if their voice circuit is down, all calls can route to a backup SIP trunk. My question is: does anyone use an inexpensive internet-based SIP provider for something like this? I know I can have TelePacific or XO deliver a SIP trunk but the MRC is way too high to justify the expense. I do have a few customers using a Broadsoft service for this but the trunks are still $30 a month or something. I know there are internet based SIP providers that only charge for actual usage of the channels so I was hoping someone was already doing this with IPO and could point me to a good company.

Cheap and reliability do not go together at all.
You can not have this.
A backup trunk does cost money and if that is too expensive then it is not needed enough.

I used voipvoip.com service as backup and it worked perfectly yesterday while my PRI was down for 3 hours. Cheap and reliable.

We use ACE Innovative Networks.

They use Asterisk, but reliablity is quite good. We lost or PRI due to an accident that knocked down a utility pole, ironically, we didn't lose power and thankfully, our fiber is buried so internet was still up. It was down for about 2 days and calls flowed smoothly over the SIP trunk, plus our provider had a backup number for the DID's we had so most of the inbound calls were not affected.

They have plans starting out at $5/month which gives 5 channels and 100 inbound and 100 outbound minutes per month. We have 20 channels with them on that plan and pay $25 plus 1.9cpm for outbound calls and .9cpm for inbound above the 100. It worked out well for us in that situation.

How is Callcentric working for You? I get intermitent "alphabet soup" on Caller ID number with them, Name alaways apears corectly. I dont have this problem on LES.net, or flowroute.

I'm dumping CallCentric. Great sound but they don't conform to SIP protocols properly. I think it has something to do with the CallerID.

Be careful of DIDWW. They work great and are super reliable for SIP DID. However, they don't conform to the RFC as they start the RTP ports at 10000 as opposed to 49152.

Flowroute is fantastic. However, they've had some issues with their infrastructure. I also use CallWithUs. They're a little Mom & Pop, however, they are also pretty reliable.
