Backup Script

I'm in the middle of a transition from a tape-based backup system to a new off-site replication solution, but unfortunately due to some scheduling problems the project has been interrupted for the next couple weeks leaving me with no backup solution. Though I'd be interested to get some other opinions on possible solutions I was thinking a script that dismounts the information store and copies the database files to another machine should at least give me some sort of redundancy in case something happens to my exchange box. Any ideas how one would write such a script? Or other thoughts on solutions? Thanks.

Use the built in NTBackup?
