I'm running Backup Exec 9.1 on a Win 2000 server. It just backs up itself. The job is set to backup the C:, D:, E: and system state. However when the backup actually runs I get the C:, D:, E: drives and SS then C$, D$ and E$ get backed up. These are not selected or even visible in the selection lists and the data is exactly the same. We don't need the same data backed up twice especially as there is 1.2TB on this server.

What is going on? [ponder]

Either..

1. Create a new job.
or
2. Edit the job, change the Selection list view to Text, then delete the C$ D$ E$ lines.

Thanks for this justin2000. I checked the backup selection viewed in text and bingo there they are.

All sorted now. Thanks for your help.
