Backup/Restore DB from SQL issues

I need to move a database from one machine to another. I did a backup of a database from my SQL server 2005. I tried to do a restore on my other machine where SQL 2005 is installed (I am using this because the program I use installs this). When I install SQL Studio Express and try to open the database I get access denied. How do I give myself permissions? I cant seems to add myself. Or am I doing this wrong?

Hopefully you know the SA password. You would try to login with username:SA and that password.

I dont know the sa password but I ran as Administrator and I can see the tables. I thought I looked at users and saw the sa was disabled.
