Depending on what release you have, it's under the Unix Management screens. >>> CUSTOMER/SERVICES ADMINISTRATION >>> SYSTEM MANAGEMENT >>> UNIX MANAGEMENT
thanks pz31g22
i have the same issue but i have rls 5.1 intuity-audix and the steps are CUSTOMER/SERVICES>>>>ADMINISTRATION>>>>SYSTEM
MANAGEMENT>>>> AND THIS PART I HAVE (INSTALL DISK) IS IN THIS PROMT?
No to FORMAT the disk you have to to to UNIX MANAGEMENT then to the Removable Media Operations then it gives you the option of what type of Disk you want to Format.
I don't think you can format it using your Intuity...or I sure don't see the option for it anyway. We also have a release 5.1 out there and I just looked at it. No option to format the MO disk. Are you sure you need to format it? I've never had to fool with it...I've always thrown a new disk in and it's fine. Try a manual backup and see if it'll work.
well when i try to make a back up the intuity send an error that said

open the front of the tape drive and look at the inside of the door. it should have a small white sticker that has something like 25000MB. that's the size of the media that is supported for that drive.
ok PBXTech i will check that point
and this for orypecos, thanks for answare to but from the beginning the intuity has install with the Cartridge Travan
8 Mb and this error start four months ago
hmmmm...."The pre-backup script /rmb/bin/prebk failed (rc=1)." sounds like corruption in 'that thar Intuity'.
I would say do a gracefull shutdown and see if that fixes, clean the tape heads, replace the tape, then call AVaya if that doesn't fix it. Or if u have maint, call Avaya first.
