One of our tablespaces keeps going into backup pending mode...

Tablespace ID = 2
Name = USERSPACE1
Type = System managed space
Contents = Any data
State = 0x0020
Detailed explanation:
Backup pending

I have checked our offline backup from Friday and it completed without any problem. On Sunday, we run a load. So I know the userspace1 was writtable. I found no errors, all exported records were read and committed.

What can cause a tablespace to go into backup pending mode?

Trying to see if I can narrow down the problem....

Thanks in advance....

Two are at least two ways I can think of but there are probably more:
1. The database configuration was changed from: LOGRETAIN=RECOVERY to LOGRETAIN=OFF
2. A LOAD utility was run with COPY NO and without NONRECOVERABLE as parameters.

As I said there may be more but those are the cases I've run into.
