Backup Operation Failed - NOT!

ArcServe2000 on a Win2000 machine. SP2, SRP1 (No Compression or Encryption). I am using an Exchange Agent (MSEX 5.5 sp3), NT4 Agents, Win2000 Agents and DRO.


My backup job (GFS Backup, daily Diff, Full on Friday)ends w/ the status of Backup Failed. The only errors reported are of 3 files that are unable to be backed up b/c they are open by another process (this would cause B/U Incomplete not B/U Failed) There are no other errors in the log(s) of the Agents or ArcServe itself and the Job backs up > 34G of data. I just verified it is backing it up! Any ideas what could be causing this?

I have the same setup with Arcserve 2000 and the Exchange Database Agent and regardless of what I do - remove the open files from the back for one - I get a Backup Operation Incomplete at the end of all of my backups. I have been told by CA if the operation says it is incomplete the bricklevel restore will not work. Why have the dbagent if its always incomplete. I would like help with this issue also.
