Backup jobs not verifying

Hi, I'd be really grateful if someone could help...

Using Windows 2000 Server and Backup Exec 8.6, does anyone know why a successful backup job does not verify, even though it is set to verify? The backup job ends as a fail. The drive and tape are both fairly new. I've tried numerous config. settings but can't seem to stop it happening!

hi, thanks for the reply, nothing much in the event log.
A few VB errors, which occur at all times, even during successful backups, plus the errors are website related.
There's a NetShield alert for an infected file that was cleaned. But again this alert has occured during successful verfies.

any ideas?
