Backup Jobs being queued

My schedule jobs for some reasons are being queued, not always but every other time.

There are no other jobs running.

Would anybody have an idea why is this happening?

Its may be coz of some H/W Problem. Pls check the tape drive is it online or offline. Try to take a test backup with windows inbuilt utility NT Backup.

Sorry for not replying on time.
The problem was that i had a drive cleaning job scheduled. For some reasons the cleaning tape stuck in the drive. One i pulled it out all of other jobs started running. Thanx for the reply
