Backup Job will not recognize blank media to continue backup!

Hello,

I have this annoying problem. When Im running my full backup jobs and it has completed the first tape it asks me to "mount a blank media". I insert a blank media which has been quick and long formatted but it still does not accept the media it just gives me the same error. I have tried a few used tapes with the same result. I do not have a factory sealed tape. Also when I look under device managment after I remove the first full backup tape it still shows the first tape information under the drive that I am using. Maybe its not updating the drive information to reflect a new tape insertion? Anyway I have another DLT Drive which I stopped using because it was doing the same thing on that drive. I am running ARCServeIT for WINNT version 6.61 on two (Compaq)Quantum 35/70 DLT Drives

Have you tried using the "quick erase plus" funtion. This will make the tape a blank media. If the tape is formatted it is not a blank media and the job will not continue.

Yes I have used the Quick erase plus and long erase with the same result.
