Backup Incomplete

Our Arcserve backup has been working fine for ages but over the last week its started to say that its incomplete every night???

CPLSERVER: Backup Operation Incomplete.
Number of Errors/Warnings: 0/1


The message that gets sent to me says the following:

W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=D:\exchsrvr\mtadata\DB000083.DAT, EC=ACCESS DENIED)
Retry Open Files

The backup successfully backups all other open files in that directory and the file that causes trouble changes every night???

Anyone experienced this before?? any ideas how to rectify it?

We are running ArcserveIT ver 6.61

We already have Backup Agent for Open files installed and it backs up the rest of the open files in that directory it just picks a file within that directory which it says it cant backup???

I have a similar problem with Arcserve 2000. How was your problem resolved? Thanks.
 
Try using Lock Mode for file retries, or if worst comes to worst, exclude that file in your filter.
 
Did you reboot your server after installing the open file agent? If not, do so first!
Else try to lower the "write inactivity period" on your open file agent's configuration.
