backup hangs at 66% (CAT files)

I am still having problems with getting a backup to complete. The job submitted is a daily backup (full). I have deselected the arcserve folder, however the job continues to hang at 66% on the arcserve/temp folder (CAT files). I don't understand why it is even trying to copy this folder as its not selected.

Any suggestions out there.

I have heard, in other thread of this forum, about cat files in arcserve temp directory is a clear sign of a corrupted database.
I'd pass the dbfix utilities ....
