All,

have been doing backups on mxe servers. the file size though is less than a 1MB. is this normal. controller has around 1500 users.

does ops man compress the backup files even more?

Seems a little small for 1500 users.

My sites without embedded mail vary from 1meg all the way up to 30Meg (30 meg is a site with about 400 resilient 5340 sets and clustered)

1-2 Meg is normal for a non-clustered, no embedded mail, system with backup thru ESM.

I can't tell you for sure that the OPS backup is smaller but I believe it is.

I have got anywhere from 3 to 7 MB with embedded VM.

Backup is a standard .tar file. Just extract content and see what's inside.

MXE servers?? doesn't support embedded vm.

these can only really have users on..

I refer to the "MXE server" as MCD or Mitel Call Director to avoid confusion, so naturally I didn't think we were discussing the MCD. Sorry.

I only have one MCD and I haven't checked the file size.

My backups for 1100-1200 5340 Sets & Hotdesk users are about 110-120MB
My Backup for an almost blank system (No Sets) is 990Kb
