I am using BackupExec and it seems before I got to this company, an end user changed his computer name. As a result, the backup is still looking for this name but it's not available however, it does find the new name but the end status of the backup always states failed and when I review the logs, it says: "Agent Accelorator not found". Has anyone seen this before?

I've always created a new job to resolve this issue. Seems the old job, even thought it's been updated, keeps looking for the old pc name.

Go to edit job, selections, select the text rather than graphic view.
Next you will need to delete the entry for the computer that is not visible in graphic view.

If this is Backup Exec for Netware you can run BEJOBED.NLM from the Console prompt and edit the User Password or the Job backup contents.... Or you can recreate the job.... which is easier to work with....

Thanks to all the suggestions listed above,I was able to resolve the issue!! :)

its for my cleaning tape I have everything setup and it will go out and grab the correct tape in its slot but then it comes back with a failure a few minutes later.
