Backup exec seems stuck past start time

We are running version 8.6 of the backup exec. I don't know much about the software and the person that does will be out for several more days.

I seems to have just stopped working. There are two jobs. One scheduled for 9:00 PM and the other for 6:00 AM the next day. For the last two days the jobs just sit there past their start-up times. I've reviewed the schedule and it seems correct. I even checked the date and time on the computer and it's OK. If I click on the job and say "run now" it queues up the job but it doesn't run. There are no alerts or messages that I can find. The only thing I know of that has changed recently is the server it runs on was rebooted (I don't know why my team mate rebooted).

I'm just a novice at this product so I would appreciate any debugging tips.

Thanks!

The 1st thing I would try is to stop then re-start the Backup Exec services. This sometimes get's the backup jobs going again.

Thanks for responding Caveman643,

I had already tried that. Turns out, and I admitted being a novice, that under device manager in the product the srevices were paused. It must of happened when we were forced to reboot while it was running. I'm just guessing at that but that is the first thing I will look at in the future.
