Backup exec failing with Information store errors

I Have been getting errors on backup saying "WARNING: "userlastname, username [alias]?Top of Information Store?inbox?Subject" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify. and i already applied sp4 for exchange 5.5 and still i get this. What can i do? Please help. Thanks

Backup exec thinks that these messages are corrupt, it has nothing to do with exchange. Best way is to remove the messages from the users mailbox

I had this same problem with veritas it has to do with mcafee for exchange their is a knowledge base article on it in

lookup 250666. their is a fix for it
fix #42.

Besides what Godcom said to do, which i have started to, the hotfix #42 does not fix it still i recievethe same error message. Thanks for offering your help anymore thoughts would be great. I am however using mcafee to scan the email before it comes to my server. but i get contacts and journals that show up corrupted.

their is also a reg key you can set to "0". have you tried that?
