Hello. We are currently running Symantec Backup Exec 9.2 on a Windows 2003 R2 Server within a Novell network (Netware 6.5) and are having a few problems. Below are the errors that are in the backup logs every morning when I view them:

Backup- Shadow?Copy?Components Shadow?Copy?ComponentsV-79-57344-65245 - A failure occurred accessing the object list.

Begin Novell SMS errors:
TSAFSGW.NLM(TSAFS.NLM 6.51.5 314) All resource names are already scanned, or none were found.
End Novell SMS errors.

I know there was supposedly a fix for the shadow copy with Service Pack 1 for Windows 2003 Server and the server is update to date with service pack 2 and the error still exists I have been looking for a fix and haven't had much luck. Looking for alittle guidance.... thanks!!

The version on the server is Backup Exec 10d. I have Backup Exec Administration Console 9.2 installed on my workstation. Sorry about that....

The error is with the Netware server, not the windows media server.
Need more info. What SP on the NW 6.5? Are you trying to backup Groupwise? I assume so due to the tsa driver you're using. What ver. of Groupwise? SP?

Groupwise backups are a pain...

We are running Netware 6.5 with service pack 5. We are having a problem backing up GroupWise (version 7 service pack 1). I take it you may have had this problem before... any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!!

There are a hundred different combinations of various patches out there, it's quite a mess.

Running NW6.5.4b and GW6.5.5, in my Sys:System\SMSSTART.NCF I simply use
Code:
load TSAFS.NLM /EnableGW=yes
... and together with the AOFO I have no problems.

I'd suggest you take this to either the Groupwise forum or to the Netware 6x forum. I've not worked with GW7 at all. The TSAFSGW.NLM you're running may be recommended for that version, I just don't know.

Thanks for the tip.... will see what happens!
