We've been using Backup Exec 8.6 agent to backup our Symposium Web Client server for the past year with success. Recently our IT group upgraded to Backup Exec 9.1, and when trying to install the Backup Exec agent on our Web Client server found that it would not install because a required TCP port (10000) was in use by Symposium. Im told this was not an issue with the older version of Backup Exec but version 9.x requires the exclusive use of that port. We shut down the services on the Symposium Call Center Server, and rebooted the web server a couple of times, but we could not get the web client server to free up TCP port #10000. Is anybody using Backup Exec 9.1 to backup their Web Client server, or does anyone know how to force it to quit using TCP port #10000? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
