Hi all,
I have a backup exec 8.6 server backing up 10 NT4.0 machines with ofo running on them, over the network to a DLT, 8 tape drive Dell Power vault.

My question is, how can I increase the speed I'm getting like 20meg a minute.
I have replaced the device drivers, checked all network cards, they're at 100meg, FD.

Thanks for your help.

Oh, by the way I've never had a successful back up with this software, and I can't get any help out of Veritas.

I hope they file for chapter 11 :)

Ok ... number 1 Veritas doesnt look like filing for chapter 11 anytime soon so I wouldnt hold your breath!

Do you have have the remote agent running on the remote servers???

If you can post the logs so we can see what is happening during the backup.

Cheers

My chapter 11 comment comes from the furstration with dealing with company that couldn't care a less weather or not there product, that they sold to us works or not.

Anyways heres the a recent log.

Thanks for your help.

it looks like the remote agent wasnt installed on the target systems as the previous guy suggested.

I just had an autoloader go from a throughput of 260mb/min to 20mb/min. After testing the software out on another machine, I found out the Autoloader hardware was to blame and I had it switched out. Now, I am back at 250-300mb/min.
