Backup Exec 7.5 AND Novell 4.11

we suffered a failure of our Server and now have a new install of OS and backup, using Backup Exec 7.5 were able to reinstall our data BUT running Backup as scheduled regularly causes "multiple abends, server halted". This setup used to work.
Shop built server
Asus p5 a-b motherboard
AMD k-6 @450
adaptec scsi (2)
HP SureStore Tape 5000

i replaced all of the tapes and got two backups (It said so, I wonder), the rest abended
should I install SP9 or is this too big of a gun, might i strip past compatibility with BE 7.5 and really be in a hole

Hi tlfmd,

Make sure you have the latest 7.5 build M123. You can download it from:

BENW v7.50 (Build M123) English Only, V7.5 Serial Number Required

check that the nwaspi driver is loaded above the scsi controller driver in the startup.ncf.


Also what are the abends occuring in eip ?

is there anywhere the SN inside of the software, it seems i am having trouble finding the original CD, i knew where it was two years ago, but...
it wasn'yt in Help, About...

I think if you go to the Job Manager and go CTRL+V (view) you might be able to see the serial number, let me know if that does not help.
