Ever since we upgraded our 2003 server to sp2, all jobs hang in queued status. All services are running as they should be. Devices are all "ready." Not sure what else to look at to find the problem.

I just checked the devices again and the drive in question is showing as "in use".

We are having same issues. We upgrade to new version of Veritas and also added sp2. Now our backups are hanging in que or reporting bad media where it worked before.

Try downloading and installing the latest version of the tape device drivers. If you're already up to date, stop all the BUE services cleanly and run TAPEINST.EXE from the Veritas/Symantec program directory. Walk through the wizard and verify you're using Veritas drivers for all devices.
