I am testing our new (But not improved) Symantec/Veritas backup Exec 11d. I am doing a total wipe-out and restore and all goes well until after I totally restore the machine...and the only thing giving me trouble at this point is the backup exec media and device service wont start. I get an Event 58068, and go to the veritas support and follow their database recovery procedure (doc id 286934) but the bedb_da_log.ldf isnt there..nor is it on my live servers. Has anyone run into this?
