I am getting an error "a00084ed - a hardware error occured". I could not find anything on Veritas's website regarding this error. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,

Destini

Forgot to add that I'm using Windows 2000 and Backup Exec version 9.1

Just to let everyone know I resolved the problem. Someone in our department had changed the name of one of the folders that was being backed up which resulted in the error. Hate when that happens!

I'm glad you were able to solve it. How did you finally 'pinpoint' the problem? This is an error that is really general and hard to solve, especially not knowing your setup.

Did you check the BE alert message tab? Did you check the job history? Did you check the Windows Event Viewer Logs?
