ran into a 3.0 nam that I attempted to backup when I did f983 22 it said calls completing as normal but it had an asterisk behind it (calls completing*)and it just kept flashing ,rebooted to no avail I just let it sit there for at least 20 minutes with no change any suggestions ??

Try NVM 3.0 if you have the software, if you want to hook up a phone line to the modem, I can try getting into it from here to find out if you can get in or not.
