I have outlook-- my problem is if I back it up then the file is to big to backup to a cd.
Is there anyway to save just specific folders to a backup?

You could use Outlook's Export feature to selectively choose certain folders.

Your data is being backed up to a .PST file. Make another .PST file. Now you can copy data from the first Personal Folder into the second. This will shrink the original to a managable state to burn.

You may have to compact the .PST/Personal Fodlers after you transfer the data to force it to realize the change.

New PST.
File - New - Outlook Data File, give it a name and location

Compact .PST
Right click the Personal Folder in Outlook and choose properties, Click Advanced and Compact Now.

what exactly does that do -- doe3s it make a copy of teh personal folders??
