Hi, i've been tasked with backing up all the mail from a machine using lotus notes and am not sure where its located. Also will there be problems putting the mail on another machine using lotus notes when we want to get the e-mails back ?

Any help really appreciated as im a little stumped on this one.

Cheers

Jamie

Look in the person documents and you see the mailfile location (under the Notes data directory).

It is not a problem to restore on a different server, if that server is somewhere in the ACL.

Hi,

You may found the user mail file usually at
c:\Lotus\Notes\Data with the mailfile called names.nsf.

This is provided the user's mailfile is stored locally in his/her PC.

If you would like to backup a particular user mailfile which reside on server, it could be found at mail\username.nsf where "username" is the user registered in Domino.

I hope this would be helpful.
