Hey All,
I am trying to backup a windows 2003 Domain Controller in an AD environment, that is in a separate domain from my backup machine.
No success so far.
Here is what the log has:
Job ID........................ 222
Workstation................... FTLPDC01
Source........................ C:
Target........................ W-CAS-SAT- 3/13/04, ID F27E, Sequence #1
Session....................... 4
Start Time.................... 3/14/04 12:41 AM
E8522 Failed to receive data from the client agent. (EC=10060)
N5936 The following media can be used in device group XTRASLOT for next job on date 3/15/04:
N5941 1. <BLANK>
This is what we have done so far:
They have given my account on the backup domain local admin rights on that box.
They have made sure that the account has:
Log on local rights
Log on as service
Log on as Batch
Act as part of OS
We also tried using an admin account on the PDC domain. No luck.
I have installed the client agent on the PDC, all the services are running.
I can backup machines with 2003 OS from this new domain, but when it comes to the domain controllers, it fails.
I still think the issue is permissions related, but others don't.
Any recommendations, besides upgrading my backup software ?
Thanks in advance
David
