backing up an 8x24 with DR 5.1

I am trying to backup an 8x24 with DR5.1 software. I am presently using NRU 9.0 and I am getting the error code that states Source and destination DR variants don't match.
Is there another way to perform a backup?

You can't back up The 824 system using NRU,you have to use Norstar Manager. Good Luck!

Thanks Sam, I did try using Norstar Manager 3.5 and that is the message I am getting- Source and destination DR variants don't match.
I have tried different Rad units and still the same problem.
I can access the system and make changes, however, I can't perform the backup. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you may need NRU 8.1 or lower to talk with the DR5 systems. We have 8.1 available. If you need it I can temporarily upload to our website. Brian Cox

I'm just wondering what operating system are you running on your computer,if its XP or 2000,you will need Norstar Manager 3.7 not 3.5.,I use to have alot of crazy errors before I upgrad.I'm trying to locate an error forms on the norstar manager to see the reason for your problem to match your error but with no luck so far.I use (NRU 9.0 )3.7 Norstar manager with DR5 with no problem .Did you tryied different Fast RAD mabye it makes a difference.You keep trying and I will keep looking ,maybe somebody else can help or have the error book.Sorry I was't much help. Eureka!!!!!! I used NRU 9.1 with norstar manager 3.5 and have successfully performed a backup. With the 9.1 version I can select what operating system I want to use Win 95,98, etc...

I'm actually having this same problem, but a little confused as to what the workaround is here...

If Norstar Manager 3.7 is what comes with NRU 9.0, why would Norstar Manager 3.5 come with NRU 9.1?? Is there somewhere I can get a copy of Norstar Managewr 3.5 so that I can backup an 8x24 (getting the same error message stated here) as far as an upgrade download from Nortel or something?

I've got a customer who's cartridge is shot, but yet refuses to buy another one- so when they lose power, about 40 DID's have to be reconfigured in addition to all those pesky matching ext #'s...this would be a great help!
