I am running Arcserve 2000 Advanced Edition on a Windows 2000 Server. There are 4 other Servers on the network. I am using the 2000 Client Agent to connect to and backup 3 of the 4 other servers.

The 4th server is a W2K Server running Citrix XPs. The drives have been remapped for Citrix from C: -> M: and so on... I can't install the client agent on the Citrix Server becasue the client agent install looks to drive C: for the license file, but there is no drive C: so it just errors out.

Does anyone know if there is a parameter I can pass the setup file to change that drive designation or a file I can modify to do it?

The Citrix Server is on the same LAN as the backup server and I can get to it through "Network" off of the tree listing, but I can't tag it for backup from there because it tells me access is denied even though I have synched and re-synched all Administrator passwords for all servers across the network a half dozen times...

Any ideas?

You must modify the install.rsp file and specify the drive for installation in the file.

ARCserveGuru,

I was a little delayed in trying your suggestion, but it worked flawlessly. I am now getting good full nightly backups of all my network servers.

Much appreciated.
Thank you.

You're lucky, MISAdmin -- my two installations were discussed with CA techs for *6* (!!!) months without resolution -- and to all -- beware the CA Ombudsman's office -- they're not likely to deliver much satisfaction!
