How can I set then background of access to a bitmap ? not the forms, but the background when you open a database.

Jurgen:

Name the bitmap file the same as the application and place it in the same directory where the application is stored.

Hi JJ!

Larry's suggestion will give you a splash screen, which is maybe what you were looking for? Otherwise, it sounds to me like you are trying to set a background for the database window, which is really not something you need to do! I assume that you are trying to make your user interface a little more spiffy. To do that, use the Switchboards. The Switchboards are forms (so you can add that image to the background) that act as menus to the various parts of the user interface. Look for the Switchboard manager on the Tools menu. Remember that you can make multiple switchboards that link to each other (always provide a button back to the main switchboard...). You can even turn off the database window so that users can't see it by changing your Startup options (Tools menu). To see the database window if it has been hidden, use the F11 key.

Note* just make sure that your users arent pranksters and fiqure out that the .bmp that is there is the one to your app and decide to make "enhancements" to it..
