Back Up Remote Notes Server

I have installed Arcserve 2000 SP2 on a Windows 2000 server. I would Like to back up a Lotus Notes 4.6 server on our network which runs on NT4.

I installed the Lotus Notes Backup agent on the notes server and the services started ok.

The problem is how can i get my arcserve manager on the win2000 box to see the agent? The lotus notes icon does not appear in the source tab on the backup screen. Can i back up the notes server remotely and if so what do i need to install / enable on the arcserve server

I have experienced something similar to your situation that may help you. We recently upgraded to Arcserve 2000 (or Arcserve 7) on our NT 4.0 servers. The CD that was sent to us by CA did not contain the correct Notes Agent, and as a result we had to contact support and get the correct agent for our notes server (NT 4.0 R5). Call Computer Associates and verify you have the Arcserve 2000 compatible version of Notes Agent, that or wait till I'm back at work and can tell you what we are running.
