back-up mics 5.0

I have been given the responsibility of backing up our mics 5.0. I have Norstar remote utilities and i see the back up and restore icon. I'm just curious about what happens when I connect to the mics with the back up icon. I'm guessing it back's up to a floppy on my computer. Does it affect service while it's backing up. Anyone who can tell be basically what to expect I appreciate it. Thanks

ACTUALLY IT BACKS UP TO THE HARD DRIVE THEN YOU CAN COPY TO FLOPPY, AND THERE IS NO AFFECT ON THE SYSTEM
