Isnt it a Purge utility in BAB Netware 11.1? How to delete files in a regular schedule?

it should be an option called 'Delete files after backup' in global options of the backup job if that is what you are looking for.

There is or was a Purge job that did just that. I'm not sure whats in the current version of ARCserve NetWare.

The Delete files after backup option is handy. It works well with a job to backup files based off Access Date. So for example it will backup files not accessed in say 6 months or a year and then after the backup delete the files. The job could run to a specific tape which is appended to. I would add another job to backup the same data just on the safe side it is better to have the data on two tapes before deleting it.

Thanks a lot for your help! The disk space is not enough to hold 1 week backup. A Post Job script (an ncf file) will automatically delete the oldest directory.
