Hi,
I am trying to get B179 working with Avaya Powered by. The Phone is trying to register but in the SYSMON I'm getting the below:
UDP 10.77.10.10:5060 -> 192.168.7.11:5060
SIP/2.0 403 Forbidden
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.7.11:5060;rport;branch=z9hG4bKPjbHx-4pskMNzF4CTzbplIVUy4bsJra
I have 50 Avaya IP End points licenses in the system so it is not a license issue.

when I try the same phone with a non-Avaya Powered by (Stand alone Avaya IP office), I have no issues.

Any clue?

I have several B179 on Powered By. They do not need to be TLS to connect, but that would depend on your setup. Sites that use B179 have VPN or MPLS connectivity to our VDC so the phones connect via local IPs as UDP as normal. If we have to do conference phones without a VPN or MPLS then we do Polycom 8800 as they work better with custom SIP ports.

Got it finally working. I had to add the SIP domain in the IP office as well as the phone configuration.
Disabled Allowed direct media to get RTP working as well.

Here's the cryptic notes I have for B179 on hosted:

• Settings->SIP->Primary account->
o Enable account = Yes
o Account name = <Any Desired Name>
o Realm = *
o User = 369
o Authentication name = 369
o Registrar = <IPO IP Address> e.g:123.211.15.36
o Leave everything else to default
• Settings->SIP->Transport->
o Protocol = TLS
o Leave everything else to default
• Settings->SIP->TLS settings->
o Method=TLSv1
o Certificate, Root certificate - upload the one downloaded from IP Office
o Leave everything else to default

NOTE: Upon saving any edits, B179 automatically attempts login, no need to restart or reboot.
