My programming looks right. The user and passwords match up. Anyone have an idea?

Thanks.

Yes, do you have Avaya IP endpoint licenses?

A simple mind delivers great solutions

wouldn't the sip b179 use non-avaya ip endpoint or is there a special allowance made for it?
anyway, rx - register, tx - not authorised with NONCE, no more RX???

Strangely enough, the problem was having the power cord plugged in and being plugged into a PoE port on the switch. Once I removed the power cord, they worked.

I have installed Cisco conference phones before that require the power cord and PoE but I guess that is not the case with the B179s.

I cannot imaging that this is really needed!
Why on earth they invented POE for then?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

This is only required when you use crap POE swithces that don't work to the class required to supply the phones :)
