Hey guys,

Been on leave and come back to a weird one.

Have a site with 2x B179's. One has the Directory entries showing in the Phone Book and one hasn't. Can't find any reference other than the LDAP stuff.

Any Clues?

Thanks,

Look in the Avaya up office under the User tab and see if they are exempt from directory

I think it is somewhere in the provisioning section.

LDAP is the only way to get it to work, it doesn't grab it from the IPO like the "real" phones do.
You can also add them manually into the directory which may have been done by someone with a lot of time on their hands

It does. I installed one a few weeks before, made an upgrade and used DHCP option 242 to configure the phone. I was really surprised that it was able to use the IPO directory. but to be honest... I didn't check which way it fit the directory...

darn, the manual doesn't say that. I double checked but something not in the manual is just like Avaya, LOL

The manual references wrong names for the used config files as well... Found it out by watching SysMon with HTTP filter set...
