Does anyone know for certain if this is an Avaya manufactured phone or a Generic SIP device rebranded for Avaya. A couple of reasons why.

1. When you log in, except for the colour scheme its almost identical to the Konftel SIP phone
2. Avaya ACR12 wont record it.

We have been advised the Avaya ACRv12 will only record Avaya SIP devices using 3PCC, I have got it to record some Avaya SIP devices but not the B179 SIP Conf phone..

Any help appreciated

Yep - it is 100% a konftel device underneath, much like the Avaya 4690 is a rebranded Polycom.

Any other differences between the two? I'm not sure -- I'd imagine the firmware is customized for Avaya.

Thats exactly what i thought and the reason ACRv12 can not record it.im waiting on feedback from ATAC

MAD MAX I have a question on one of your posts, not certain if you received the answer. Iwas trying to set up attendant 1x to automatically update names, but I saw that you had said it was wiping out your pc's info. We are running 4.09 on soft console and 6.3 on cm . I am still needing some setup info on doing this. Also we are running two soft consoles and off a virtual server. Any info on stting this up would be appreciated.

you need to get the one x attendants to read a file from where you specify the location on the onx x server in the phonebook section , how are you storingthe numbers and mapping them on the server ??
